Introducing Our Newest Stars: Cyrus & Rachel Platt

LACEY, WASHINGTON REALTORS® CYRUS AND RACHEL PLATT EARN THEIR MILITARY RELOCATION PROFESSIONAL (MRP) CERTIFICATIONS
Press Release
Written By
Allison Sledge
"I love to share the experience of home ownership with military families and help them get a foot in the door for wealth building, even if they PCS many times during their service.”
— Cyrus Platt

LACEY, WASHINGTON, UNITED STATES, April 10, 2025 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Cyrus and Rachel Platt are an awesome dynamic duo. They are a husband-and-wife team who know the real estate industry inside and out. Their son, Derrick, is also a real estate agent and they all work together at Keller Williams South Sound in Lacey, Washington, and surrounding areas. Cyrus is an Army Veteran and Rachel is a proud Military Spouse.
Rachel was born in Show Low, Arizona, and graduated from Snowflake High School. She moved to Alamogordo, New Mexico, to live with her sister which is where she met Cyrus, who was her nephews football coach. She says, “It was love at first sight! I was smitten the first time I laid eyes on him, and I was excited that he felt the same way about me!”
Cyrus was born in Las Cruces, New Mexico, and graduated from Alamogordo High School where he played football as a running back, tight end, and linebacker. He joined the Army and went to Basic Training at Fort Jackson in South Carolina and then to Fort Eustis in Virginia. During Christmas break, Cyrus went back to Snowflake, Arizona, and they got married, then returned to Ft. Eustis. They PCS’d to Scholfield Barracks and Wheeler Army Airfield in Hawaii. Cyrus was then assigned to Ft. Campbell in Kentucky where he joined the 160th Special Operation Aviation Regiment Airborne – SOAR (A) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/160th_Special_Operations_Aviation_Regiment_(Airborne) working on Avionics Radio Systems on the Chinook helicopters. He says, “When 9/11 happened we were one of the first Units to go into Uzbekistan, deploying the Special Forces Troops going into Afghanistan. I also deployed to Iraq. Then, in 2006, my family and I PCS’d to Ft. Lewis, Washington State where I helped set up a new Battalion for the 160th. I was part of training missions in Australia, Thailand, and Korea while based at Ft. Lewis, where I retired from the Army."
Cyrus and Rachel have four sons, Austin, Derrick, Logan, and Brayden, and all four excel in football. Rachel says, “It is tough raising children when your husband is deployed. Those were extremely dangerous times in the Middle East for the American Troops, and we didn’t have cell phones or the internet so communication with Cyrus was rare and special. I remember being hesitant to go to the grocery store because I didn’t want to miss his call and I never knew when he would get the chance to call me, so it was very stressful.”
Rachel has always been a family-focused entrepreneur, and she wanted to work from home so she could have flexibility. She was active in her community, creating custom T-shirts for booster clubs and hoodies with specialized logos for schools and sports teams. “I met so many people while I was doing this and I always heard people say that I’d be good at real estate, so I decided to get my license and then I began working at a tiny, real estate brokerage.”
After parting with the military, Cyrus wanted to become a real estate agent, so he got his real estate license and decided to join Rachel, and they started their own team. They were approached by Keller Williams and Cyrus and Rachel went to Bellingham, Washington, and met with the Regional Manager, and were so impressed that they decided to work with Keller Williams and have been with them ever since.
Both Cyrus and Rachel earned their Military Relocation Professional (MRP) Certifications from the National Association of Realtors. Rachel says, “For me, it’s a matter of wanting to help military families because we’ve been in their shoes. We’ve relocated and totally understand the struggle. The spouse has to know which schools are the best, their children have to leave behind their friends and make new ones and most military families don’t have any family at their new duty station, so we become their family and one of their only connections to the community. They need to be looked after and they deserve a great experience, which we provide for them.” Cyrus says, “I love to share the experience of home ownership with them and help them get a foot in the door for wealth building, even if they PCS many times during their service.”
Lacey and the South Sound area embodies the very best of living, working, and playing in the Pacific Northwest. The city also holds the distinction of being an official EPA “Green Power Community” due to its commitment to green power use—one of the first in the nation. Residents are highly educated, community-oriented, and enjoy the highest median household income of any city in Thurston County.
Living options within Lacey accommodate every lifestyle – from stunning waterfront, fairway, and mountain-view settings to urban-style townhomes. It’s also become a popular retirement mecca, with thousands of active retirees from around the country seeking a year-round temperate climate, superior medical services, and no state income tax.
Other than Lacey, Cyrus and Rachel serve Yelm, Olympia, Dupont, Tacoma, Lakewood, Steilacoom, Rainier, and all areas that are near Joint Base Lewis-McChord.

Introducing One of Our Newest Stars: Erica Howey

RENO, NEVADA REALTOR® ERICA HOWEY EARNS HER MILITARY RELOCATION PROFESSIONAL (MRP) CERTIFICATION
Press Release
Written By
Allison Sledge
"I understand what it’s like to move when you’re in the military, and having my Military Relocation Professional (MRP) Certification lets the military know that I am qualified to meet their needs.”
— Erica Howey

RENO, NEVADA, UNITED STATES, March 10, 2025 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Erica Howey is a warm, personable, caring and extremely educated real estate agent at Coldwell Banker Select Real Estate in Reno, Nevada. She is also a United States Navy Veteran.
Erica was born in Columbus, Ohio and graduated from Centennial High School. She worked several temp jobs at the post office and as an Assistant Manager while attending Columbus State Community College and says, “During that time I really wanted to get out of Ohio, so I joined the Navy. I went to Basic Training at Naval Station Great Lakes in Illinois where I learned the history of the Navy, shot M16 rifles and was taught all the basics of the ships and how they operate.”
Erica’s first Duty-Station was at Naval Air Station (NAS) Barbers Point in Oahu, Hawaii. “I loved Hawaii because the people were very nice and welcoming. They always wanted to hug me and make me feel comfortable in their homes, which I loved because that just didn’t happen in the community I grew up in, plus the atmosphere was beautiful.”
Oahu is known for its breathtaking beaches, soft sands, crystal-clear waters and opportunities for sunbathing, swimming, surfing, and snorkeling. Iconic beaches like Waikiki, Lanikai and North Shore attract visitors from around the world. Oahu is home to several important historical and cultural sites, including the Pearl Harbor National Memorial, which commemorates the events of December 7, 1941. The island offers numerous hiking trails, such as Diamond Head and Manoa Falls, that lead you to lush landscapes, stunning viewpoints and waterfalls. Oahu's diverse terrain makes it a great destination for outdoor enthusiasts and its culinary scene is a blend of Hawaiian, Asian, and international flavors. You can savor traditional Hawaiian dishes like poke, laulau, and loco moco, as well as explore a variety of restaurants offering diverse cuisines.
Erica was an undesignated Airman who worked as a Toolroom Attendant on the Lockheed P-3 Orion plane, a turboprop anti-submarine and maritime surveillance aircraft developed for the United States Navy, where she kept tabs and logged everything that came in and out of the Toolroom.
Erica was Honorably Discharged from the military. However, while working at Naval Air Station Barbers Point, she fell in love with her Supervisor, Joe Howey, and the feeling was mutual. They went out on their first date at Tony Roma’s Restaurant and have been together ever since. They married on December 20th, 1998, in the charming and exquisite city of Ewa Beach, Hawaii.
Joe Howey was a 1st Class Petty Officer in the Navy and was transferred to Travis Air Force Base in California where he worked with safety related equipment on the aircraft. Erica worked at the Solano Athletic Club as a sales rep. She says, “The Athletic Club was equivalent to the epicenter of the city because everyone was there all the time. Big wigs, politicians, mayors, business owners, restaurateurs, you name it. It was famous for its tennis and racquetball teams and tournaments and due to that, it was a great place for me to network. We bought our first house with the VA loan, which to me, is the best loan ever because there is no down- payment, lower closing costs, most sellers pay the closing costs and it’s a lifetime benefit.”
Joe and Erica PCS’d to Oak Harbor, Washington where Joe was a Chief stationed at Naval Air Station (NAS) Whidbey Island and Erica began her banking career at Wells Fargo, starting as a lead teller and later a personal banker where she oversaw overrides and transactions. She also became a notary and enjoyed meeting new people from all walks of life, which extended her love of networking. Joe was then stationed at Naval Air Station (NAS) Fallon in Reno, Nevada, whose motto is: “Train the way you fight; fight the way you train.” In fact, NAS Fallon provided many of the crucial scenes in a major supporting role to make the movie ‘Top Gun’ as realistic as possible.
Erica decided to get into real estate when the banks started failing and closing. “I remember being very impressed with my first real estate agent who asked a lot of questions, introduced me to people, showed me around town and was a resource for me. She made a great impression on me and to this day I don’t think she knows the impact she had on me. I’m the same way as a realtor because I really liked the way she treated me, and I treat my clients wonderfully as well.”
Erica sold her 1st house in a quite unusual way. “I had ordered some nice personalized ‘gel pens’ with my name and contact information on them and one day I took my dog to the dog park and met a woman who was walking her dog. I gave her a pen and she said that she was looking for a realtor. Three weeks later her husband told me he had my pen in his hand, he was pre-qualified and wanted to look at houses. I showed them 25 houses that weekend and they were able to purchase the home of their dreams!”
Erica’s Broker at Coldwell Banker said that she needed a niche market to focus on and since Erica had served in the Navy, the military niche was ideal for her. She says, “I understand what it’s like to move when you’re in the military. There are deadlines that must be met, and you must be a qualified realtor to assure your clients that you will meet those deadlines. Having my Military Relocation Professional (MRP) Certification lets the military members know that I am qualified to meet their needs.”
Erica serves Reno, Fernley, Fallon, Silver Springs and Sparks Nevada

Introducing One of Our Newest Stars: Vince Sierra

EL PASO, TEXAS REALTOR® VINCE SIERRA EARNS HIS MILITARY RELOCATION PROFESSIONAL (MRP) CERTIFICATION
Press Release
Written By
Allison Sledge
"Freedom is not free and countless Veterans have given their lives in service to the United States of America.”.”
— Vince Sierra

EL PASO, TEXAS, U.S.A., September 2, 2024 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Vince Sierra is a refined, debonair, courteous and trustworthy Real Estate Agent and Broker at the prestigious Sierra Realty TX in El Paso, Texas. He is also a highly decorated retired Lieutenant Colonel of the United States Air Force.
Vince was born in Hammond, Indiana, and later his family moved to Alaska where he graduated from Juneau-Douglas High School. He went to Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Prescott, Arizona where he received a Reserve Officers’ Training Corp (ROTC) scholarship and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Aeronautical Studies. He says, “I love flying and all of the degrees at the University were geared toward aviation.”
Upon graduation, Vince was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant and his first Duty Station was at Mountain Home Air Force Base in Idaho where he learned how to be an Officer and to lead and manage hundreds of people as a Section Commander. He was assigned to Izmir, Turkey as an Executive Officer to the Base Commander. Next, he PCS’d to Tyndall Air Force Base in Florida to train as an Air Battle Manager.
Vince then transferred to Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma to fly with the Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) Aircraft where the missions provide aerial surveillance and airborne command and control in support of Department of Defense objectives. Vince was both an Air Weapons officer and an Instructor, Air Surveillance Officer. As an AWO, he directed and controlled fighter aircraft over Northern and Southern Iraq. He says, “This is what is known as ‘The Big Eye in The Sky.’ The aircraft has a distinctive radar dome mounted on the top of the fuselage which provides the Alliance with air surveillance, command and control, battle space management and communications. After 9/11 Vince was flying 16-hour missions over Washington D.C. in support of Noble Eagle to detect any threats to U.S. airspace.
NATO Air Base, Geilenkirchen, Germany, is home to 14 AWACS aircraft which is where he was assigned next for 5 years. “It was the best job in the world! I was a mission crew commander and led and managed people from 13 different countries. I traveled everywhere, deploying to Australia, Norway, Turkey, Spain, Greece, Italy, Belgium, Netherlands, and Iceland.”
Vince returned to the United States and was stationed at Schriever Air Force Base in Colorado where he was the Project Manager assigned to develop new tactical capabilities, both classified and non-classified for the military Warfighter and Department of Homeland Security. He returned to the NATO Headquarters in Izmir, Turkey and coordinated approval for cross-border authorization for NATO military aircraft. The Alliance pursues dialogue and practical cooperation with partners on a wide range of political and security-related issues, including global challenges like terrorism.
Vince was then selected to work and live in Madrid, Spain to set up a new Southern NATO combined Air Operations Center (CAOC). Vince was the Operations Director/Duty Controller where he monitored airspace of 10 NATO Countries and supervised the CAOC fighter and surveillance sections. Vince directed interception of Russian aircraft, unknown aircraft and hijacked aircraft to protect the airspace of NATO countries. “One of the most interesting things that happened during this time was the hijacking of Ethiopian Airlines Flight 702 by the co-pilot who wanted to negotiate political asylum for himself in Switzerland and an assurance that he would not be extradited to Ethiopia. The hijacker felt political persecution in Ethiopia and had a strong desire for freedom. “I was tasked with directing the interception and monitoring of the hijacked aircraft from start to finish which included communicating with NATO leadership and French, Italian and Swiss national authorities involved, sending planes to shadow the aircraft, intercept it and escort it to safety.” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gIKnARD_Kg8
Vince retired from the Air Force while stationed in Spain and has fond memories of his service to our country. “One thing that I will never forget is after flying an Operation Northern Watch mission over Northern Iraq, the U.S. Ambassador of Turkey personally thanked our crew on behalf of the Kurds. He said when the Kurdish people hear the U.S. aircraft flying over them, they know that Saddam Hussein will not be coming for them that day. That is what it means when you hear the roaring sound of military engines; that is the sound of freedom.”
Upon retirement, Vince and his wife, Beth Sierra, who is also an extremely decorated and highly respected retired Chief Master Sergeant in the Air Force, decided to pursue a career in real estate. They both became brokers in 2020 and created their own brokerage company, Sierra Realty TX in El Paso, Texas near Ft. Bliss. They have four children: Jaden, Karsten, Curtis and William.
Vince says, “The reason I obtained my Military Relocation Professional (MRP) Certification is because I honor every single man and woman who have served our country in any capacity because they are willing to die for our freedoms and the freedoms of human beings in all countries. Freedom is not free and countless Veterans have given their lives in service to the United States of America. For the Veterans who are alive and those who are currently serving in active-duty, I know how important it is for them to have a home. It is their sanctuary. I understand what it means to be away from home and yearning to be home, therefore I go above and beyond to assist my fellow military families to purchase a house that they can call home. I know how wonderful the VA loan is, and I want to help guide and educate our military members every step of the way.”
The areas that Vince and Beth serve are the communities that surround Ft. Bliss, including El Paso, Socorro, and Horizon City.

Introducing Scott Jeffreys
Our First Mortgage Lender
FORT NOVOSEL, ALABAMA, MORTGAGE LENDER SCOTT JEFFREYS JOINS VETERAN PCS SERVICES
Press Release
Written By
Allison Sledge
"Military home buyers place blind trust in real estate agents and loan officers. I want to provide quality service and education for home buyers, so they feel comfortable throughout the entire process.”
— Scott Jeffreys

FORT NOVOSEL, ALABAMA, U.S.A., September 20, 2023 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Scott Jeffreys is an extremely talented, driven, and accomplished mortgage lender at NEXA Mortgage in Fort Novosel, Alabama, and he is also a former Black Hawk Helicopter Pilot with the United States Army.
Scott was born at the base hospital on Cannon Air Force Base in New Mexico where his mother, Kim, was an Air Traffic Controller. His father, Doug, was a Blackhawk Helicopter Pilot. The family PCS’d to Ft. Riley, Kansas, then to Ft. Rucker, Alabama, settling in Enterprise where Scott played Safety and was the Team Captain on the Varsity football team. He graduated from Enterprise High School.
Scott then attended the University of South Alabama and majored in Exercise Science with aspirations of working with collegiate and professional athletes as a strength coach, however, he also had the desire to become a Pilot, so he joined the Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) and earned a full 3-year ROTC scholarship. During his Junior summer, he went to Ft. Lewis, Washington, for the Leadership Development and Assessment Course (LDAC). For his merits at LDAC and during his 3 years of ROTC, Scott was selected for active-duty aviation, ranking in the top 10% in the country as a distinguished military graduate. Upon obtaining his bachelor’s degree, Scott was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant and assigned to Ft. Rucker where he attended the Basic Officer Leadership Course (BOLC), the Initial Entry Rotary Wing Training (IERW), the Survival Evasion Resistance Escape Course (SERE-C) as well as continued flight training where he learned to be a Pilot.
Scott says, “I always looked up to my dad for being a Blackhawk Pilot.” Scott knew starting his journey into adulthood as an Officer would challenge him and provide unrivaled growth opportunities. “I had a vision of the kind of man I wanted to be, and the Army put me on an accelerated path of growth and quickly taught me perseverance.”
During flight school, Scott selected the UH-60 Black Hawk as his advanced airframe. Scott was then promoted to 1st Lieutenant and learned the Black Hawk inside and out, flying in the clouds during the day, and at night with night-vision goggles. He was rigorously tested on flight maneuvers, emergency procedures, and limitations of the Black Hawk.
Scott’s placement on the Order of Merit list allowed him to select Ft. Carson in Colorado as his first Duty Station. He became the Assistant S-3 (3-4 AHB) in charge of the battalion flight schedule and was the liaison for all outside aviation operations, to include air mission requests (AMR’S). He also had his own flight platoon and was in charge of training a platoon of 20 + soldiers including Pilots and Crew Chiefs. His job was to resource, coordinate, and execute training for his platoons. Ultimately, to make sure that they were able to deploy in battle if they were ever to go to war.
Scott then deployed to Germany, Bulgaria, and Romania for Operation Atlantic Resolve (OAR) as the Russian deterrents and was promoted to Captain. He then returned to Ft. Carson, became Pilot- In-Command, and was assigned as an S-4 Officer-In-Charge (OIC). This ended up being Scott’s favorite time in the Army where he had the pleasure of training, mentoring, and executing missions with younger pilots while also serving as a Primary Staff Officer (6-17 CAB). He then PCS’d to the Captain’s Career Course (CCC) at Ft. Rucker where he learned the Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP). He continued his love for training and mentorship to the classroom as a BOLC Instructor for the new Lieutenant Flight School students. Scott instructed and mentored thousands of students during this time. “When time allowed, I would share my real estate journey with my students and teach them about the VA loan along with its wealth-building opportunities and the students always glowingly loved it!”
Scott thought to himself, “What if this could be my job?”
Scott exited the military at Ft. Rucker and decided to get into the mortgage industry because he was so passionate about the VA loan and what it did for him. He says, “This was a natural transition for me because I love sharing this knowledge with people and helping others be successful in their real estate journey.”
Scott bought his first house in Enterprise, Alabama, during flight school, then in Colorado Springs, he bought his second house, and then bought his third house upon arrival at the Captains Career Course in Ft. Rucker. Through his homebuying experience in the military, he worked with great real estate professionals but also terrible real estate professionals. “Military homebuyers place blind trust in real estate agents and loan officers. I want to provide quality service and education for homebuyers, so they feel comfortable throughout the entire process, and feel that they’re taken care of.”
Scott’s goal is to be the top VA Lender in the area. He got his Mortgage Loan Originators License and was brought on by NEXA Mortgage and went through their training academy before going full time. Scott is licensed in Alabama, Florida, Colorado, and Texas, with intentions to be licensed nationwide.
Scott is married to his beautiful wife, and they have two young children.

SAN CLEMENTE, CALIFORNIA REALTOR® DEB POLLOCK EARNS HER MILITARY RELOCATION PROFESSIONAL (MRP) CERTIFICATION
Press Release

Allison Sledge
"I go above and beyond for our Active-Duty service members and their families and, of course, our retired Veterans. There is nothing I wouldn’t do for them.”
— Deb Pollock

SAN CLEMENTE, CALIFORNIA, U.S.A., July 29, 2024 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Deb Pollock is a classy, elegant, successful and extremely compassionate real estate agent with Signature Real Estate Group in San Clemente, California.
Deb was born in Los Angeles, California, and moved to Mission Viejo, where she graduated from Mission Viejo High School. She attended Orange Coast Community College and then went to Waikiki, Hawaii, for a vacation. She says, “I absolutely fell in love with Hawaii. The tropical beaches were breathtaking, the people were wonderful, the restaurants were fabulous, and the lifestyle was laid back and ideal for me. I loved it all, so I moved there and enrolled at the Hawaii School of Business and received my Associate’s Degree in Business.”
Deb began to miss her family and decided to move back to San Clemente, and this is where she met the love of her life, Jack. “It was love at first sight. He was a gorgeous, wonderful person and had a great body. He was in great shape. Everybody loved him and called him ‘Happy Jack.’ We met in July and got married in September. I also started real estate school, but it wasn’t for me at the time.
Jack and Deb owned and operated a company called ‘Jack Pollock Steele.’ She says, “It was a certified woman-owned business. I was the owner and Jack was the President. We did a lot of work on military bases, reinforcing the steel on houses and other foundations. We did this for 35 years and then the economy crashed in 2008 and it shut our business down.” Jack passed away in 2014.
Deb began working at a mortgage company as a wholesale Account Executive at Optimum and Homecomings. “I sold mortgage programs to mortgage brokers, but then it seemed that all the banks and mortgage companies went out of business. It was horrible, so I got back into real estate and specialized in REO’s and short sales. I loved selling homes and I truly cared about my customers. I was efficient and communicative and did very well.”
Deb’s father was a General Contractor who built spec homes and her mother decorated them, then they sold them, very much akin to flipping houses in today’s parlance. “Because of that experience with my parents, I have a keen eye for making a house a home and I’m very knowledgeable about mortgages. I believe I offer a great deal more than many other realtors and I’m always eager to help, whether it’s buying or selling.”
Deb and Jack have two children, Cory, a Commercial Airline Pilot, and Jackie, a Sales Rep. “When Cory was little, he was a go-cart racer and as he got older, he was so good, he was awarded sponsorships. But when the economy tanked, everything changed. The sponsorships went away, and it all came to an end, upon which Cory told me, ‘I think I want to be a pilot.’ So, I loaned him $100,000 to go to flight school, and now he’s doing what he loves to do. He got married and has three children who live only 20 minutes away from me, so I am very blessed to be able to spend quality time with my grandchildren. Jackie is a Sales Rep for Options HVAC Company. He is married and has two kids, but they live about an hour away, so I don’t get to see them as much. Of course, I am extremely proud of both of my sons. They are hard-working, good people and I love them immensely.”
Deb loves living in San Clemente and she especially enjoys all the plants that surround her and the beautiful atmosphere where her beloved dogs go out and play. “I love living here. San Clemente offers plenty of activities for all ages, world class beaches, a stunning ocean view hiking trail, excellent dining, a terrific nightlife, and boutique shopping which makes this city a hidden gem. It impresses visitors with its rich history, surfing culture, unlimited sunshine, and a charming, small-town vibe. I would never live anywhere else, which makes it so exciting for me to share its beauty with people who are moving here.”
Deb earned her Military Relocation Professional (MRP) Certification because she wanted to help the Veterans who serve our country. “They keep us safe, protect our freedoms, and they put their lives on the line daily for the United States of America. I have tremendous respect for them. I know what it takes to get a Veteran a nice property, which they richly deserve. Many Veterans who relocate to Southern California know nothing about the area, the schools or the good and bad neighborhoods. I go above and beyond for our Active-Duty service members and their families and, of course, our retired Veterans. There is nothing I wouldn’t do for them.”
Deb serves Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton as well as the Naval Auxiliary Landing Field San Clemente Island (SCI). Surrounding cities she serves include Oceanside, Murrieta, Menifee, Dana Point, San Juan Capistrano, Riverside and Palm Springs.

Monitoring OCN (Other Country Nationals) independent contractors. “It was a unique experience on its own.” He says, "We were watching for any behaviors that could identify unknown enemies and of course weapons and contraband but I also realized that it was a unique country. It was not a “free” country, but I was in awe of camels being everywhere! It was awesome, but it was the desert, so we lived and worked in temperatures that surpassed 137 degrees.”
Jimmy returned to the U.S. where he was assigned to Beale Air Force Base in California. He worked in aerospace technology, which included flight simulation, and he maintained the equipment for the U-2’s in the 9th Physiological Support Squadron (9 PSPTS) which provides specialized support and training for U-2 aviators in support of worldwide intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) combat missions. He says, “Every pilot has two suits which cost $250,000 each. They live in these suits when they’re flying, and they eat through them through a tube and straw. My crew inspected, tested, and repaired their space suits, put their helmets, G-Suits, and oxygen equipment on, making sure they were 100% protected before they took flight.”
Jimmy then deployed to Al Dhafra Air Base, a military installation in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) where he observed spy planes while maintaining mission support for the pilots. He then went to Afghanistan where he oversaw the survival kits and the pilot’s thermos. “We launched a U2 out of Afghanistan while playing Rocket Man by Elton John.”
Jimmy reported to Thailand for a Temporary Duty Assignment which he loved. "Whether it was Thailand, Afghanistan, or wherever the mission took us, I was fortunate to be a part of it. Thailand was very pretty with nice beaches and super clear water in some areas. It was a hit or miss. They have ferries to the islands where the water was like I’ve never seen before. I really enjoyed my time there.” His last deployment was on the Mediterranean island of Cyprus. “I biked around the base and learned the history of Cyprus, a country in distress. It was taken over by the Turks and was contained. It was devastating and it reminded me how lucky we have it here in the great USA and how fortunate we are to be Americans. There are some amazing and not so amazing places in this world but there is no place like HOME!”
Jimmy returned to the U.S. and separated from the military at Beale Air Force Base after 6 years of honorable service. He says, “When I left the military, and became a civilian again, I felt that I had an ‘identity crisis’ because I didn’t know who I was or what I wanted to do outside of the Air Force. I bought a house with the VA loan and my real estate agent, Sondra Mallow, was phenomenal. She was very supportive, and so very knowledgeable. She was in the process of getting her broker’s license and inspired me to be a Realtor, and I decided to hang my license with Sondra, who has been an excellent mentor. I earned my MRP Certification because I want to help other Veterans and Active-Duty members with their VA claims and utilizing their VA loan. I encourage other Realtors to be certified MRP’s so that our military community has more Realtors that know just a little bit more about the military life to best represent service members and Veterans. Informing other Veterans of benefits available to them, and as a Veteran, I understand the entire process. I support the Interest Rate Reduction Finance Loan program which can be used to refinance an existing VA loan to lower the interest rate and I’m truly looking forward to working with Veterans who are moving to my area.”
Jimmy serves the areas of Marysville, Yuba City, Linda, Olivehurst, Lincoln, Oroville, Grass Valley, Rocklin, Auburn, Roseville, Sacramento California, Lake Tahoe, and many others.

ST. JOHN’S, FLORIDA REALTOR® TRACI CRAWFORD EARNS HER MILITARY RELOCATION PROFESSIONAL (MRP) CERTIFICATION
Press Release

"Realtors change people’s lives and make an impact on them. Our Military families need someone they can trust, care and guide them, which is one of the reasons I am perfect for this job!””
— Traci Crawford
ST. JOHN'S, FLORIDA, U.S.A., July 13, 2021 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Traci Crawford is an incredibly

talented, witty, passionate, and down-to-earth real estate agent and broker associate at Engel & Völkers real estate agency in St. John’s, Florida.
Traci was born in Manhattan, New York, and her family relocated to Virginia where she graduated from Bethel High School in Hampton. She then attended Virginia Commonwealth University, majoring in Nursing, and joined the Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC), where she earned a 2-year nursing scholarship and transferred to the Medical College of Virginia, graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in Science and Nursing.
Traci’s first duty station assignment was at Ft. Polk in Vernon Parish, Louisiana, where she was a full-time nurse in the medical surgery unit at Bayne Jones Army Community Hospital. She says, “The best part of being there was the work. It was often very emotionally traumatic, so I had to learn how to compartmentalize my feelings because I had to do my job compassionately, yet professionally. My time there afforded me lifelong lessons, which I am extremely grateful for.”
Traci then went to the University of Maryland in Baltimore, where she earned her Master’s Degree in Trauma and Critical Care. She was then assigned to the 21st Combat Support Hospital in Ft. Hood, Texas, and later accepted a non-traditional assignment working for the Army Nurse Corps Chief where she got to see, firsthand, how the larger Army operates.
Traci was then promoted as the Head Nurse of the Emergency Room at William Beaumont Army Medical Center where she was stationed at Ft. Bliss. She then relocated to Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas, where she went to Army school and completed the Command and General Staff college courses and then transferred to the United States Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases in Ft. Detrick, Maryland, working as the Officer-In-Charge (OIC) in the Containment Care Suite and the Air Medical Isolation team. It was there that she met her future husband, Darryl, who was working at the Pentagon after having deployed to Iraq and Kuwait. They got married in 2001 and had a daughter, Madison.
Traci then accepted a position at Brooke Army Medical Center at Ft. Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas, where she was the Supervisor of the Medical Surgery Unit. She says, “This was a very rewarding experience for me. I believe in ‘paying-it-forward,’ so this allowed me to mentor Junior Members, even while I had over 300 Lieutenant’s working for me. I was the one writing and evaluating their career goals, so I had come full-circle.”
Traci and her family then moved to Washington, D.C., where she was stationed at Ft. Belvoir and was the Assistant Chief Nurse at DeWitt Army Hospital while working at the Pentagon Office of the Assistant Secretary for Manpower and Reserve Affairs. With this skill set, Traci relocated to Ft. Knox, Kentucky to the Human Resources Command and was the Medical Health Services Division Chief. She then relocated to Ft. Jackson, South Carolina, and was the Commander at Moncrief Army Hospital before transferring back to Brooke Air Force Base to become the Commander at Brooke Army Medical Center. “I really loved this assignment, and it was the last one. I was fortunate to have family in Jacksonville, Florida, to help out when I needed it, so we decided to move there after my Military Service.”
It was there that Traci decided to get into Real Estate. “You’re still being of service in real estate.” She says, “You change people’s lives and make an impact on them. They need someone they can trust, care and guide them, which is one of the reasons I am perfect for this job!”
Traci is involved with “Pay-It-Forward, Inc.” founded by Lauren Taylor. https://payitforwardtoday.com/ She says, “It’s a perfect fit for me, as ‘paying it forward’ has always been my philosophy. Sadly, there are a lot of people and companies who prey on Military members. We’ve seen rental scams, mortgage scams, you name it, which is why it is so important that our Veterans, Active-Duty, Retired or disabled Military members seek out a realtor that they know they can trust. That’s one of the reasons why I got my Military Relocation Professional (MRP) Certification. I want the Military Community to know that they are in good hands with me when they want to buy or sell a home.”
The communities that Traci covers are Jacksonville, Jacksonville Beach, Silverleaf, Crosswater, Anthem Ridge at Crosswater, Bracon Lake, Etown, Bartram Springs, Orange Park, St. Augustine, and Lakeside.

TRINITY, FLORIDA REALTOR® KEVIN McCULLOUGH EARNS HIS MILITARY RELOCATION PROFESSIONAL (MRP) CERTIFICATION
Press Release
Written By
Allison Sledge
"I’ve always had a lot in common with the Military. My grandpa was in the Army. I love thanking them and I will go out of my way for any Veteran or Active-Duty family who needs any of my services.”
— Kevin McCullough

TRINITY, FLORIDA, U.S.A., September 6, 2018 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Kevin McCullough is a remarkable, dazzling, outstanding and unparalleled Real Estate Agent/Broker in Trinity, Florida, and as the Managing Broker at McCullough & Associates Realty, Inc. he is big on delivering a real personal touch for his agents as well as his clients.
Born in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, Kevin grew up in Northern Virginia. He graduated from Bethlehem Baptist Christian Academy where he played Varsity Soccer and Basketball all four years. After high school he went to the Army’s Basic Training in Fort Knox, Kentucky. He says, “I got a full ride scholarship for soccer to Valley Forge Military College where I also played football and tennis. Every other weekend I went for Military training, digging foxholes and sleeping in them. I crammed four years of training into two years, did most of my training during the school year at Ft Dix, New Jersey. I went to Advanced Camp in Fort Bragg, North Carolina where I was in charge of platoons and squadrons and various leadership roles.”
Valley Forge Military College is extremely competitive as it seeks to enroll young men of sound moral character who possess strong scholastic, mental and physical qualities. In particular, they look for those who are motivated to achieve their full potential and go on to succeed at top U.S. colleges and Universities. When Kevin graduated Valley Forge with a Degree in Business Administration. he elected to not continue on with the Army. He said, “I just wanted to be a regular college kid, so I got out with the experience and knowledge that I gained”.
Kevin then transferred to James Madison University where he majored in Marketing and bartended his way through school. After college he got a job at a Mortgage Company and was heavily trained on all aspects of mortgages and he cold-called people offering them programs to refinance their homes. In 2003 he moved to Florida where he bought his first house and continued in the mortgage business until 2008 when the housing bubble caused the subprime mortgage industry to collapse. On December 30, 2008, the Case–Shiller home price index reported its largest price drop in its history. The credit crisis resulting from the bursting of the housing bubble is—according to general consensus—an important cause of the 2007–2009 recession in the United States. He recalls, “I couldn’t do loans anymore, banks closed and everything, but I had a strong network of people I had been working with through the years. I took a salary position as Director of Operations of a law firm. I was in charge of the budget, so I hired secretaries and IT people, vendors and basically ran the law firm so the attorneys could focus on their cases. It was there that I learned why proper planning is important. I was soaking in all of the legal advice and laws possible. I was also a Property Manager and had several rental properties that I took care of.”
Because of all of the Real Estate clients the law firm was handling, the Attorney told Kevin that he needed to get his Real Estate license, so he did. “I took online courses at night while working nights and weekends in Real Estate at the law office during the day” He says, “I wanted to be self-employed, so I worked my way towards being a Broker and after I passed the Broker exam I established McCullough & Associates Realty, Inc. It’s a small boutique brokerage with a real personal touch.”
Kevin was also putting his fiancée Sarah, through Nursing School and they now have three children, Damien, Jazlyn and Keenan. During this time, he was also flipping houses. “I learned a whole lot doing that. BPO orders, Commercial properties and things of that nature. I’ve had investors for commercial properties as well as residential. Because of my knowledge and networking skills, I have a guy for everything – flooring, plumbing, roofing – you name it, and I know how much it costs to get the job done, which is a huge asset to my clients.”
While taking more continuing education classes, Kevin saw that the Military Relocation Professional (MRP) Certification was being offered, so he got it. “I’ve always had a lot in common with the Military. My grandpa was in the Army. I love thanking them and I will go out of my way for any Veteran or Active-Duty family who needs any of the services that I offer. I understand the life of Military families, all the acronyms, the pay scale, the VA loans, the BAH, and the stress that they go through while PCS’ing. I’m there for them whenever they need me and I always have an American flag hanging in front of my home!”
The Military Relocation Professional (MRP) Certification is a way for Real Estate agents to thank Military families for their service by helping them come home. This certification focuses on educating Real Estate professionals about working with current and former Military service members to find the housing solutions that best suit their needs and take full advantage of Military benefits and support.
Kevin serves the beautiful Trinity, Florida, area, including the Trinity Communities, which is made up of Champions Club, Trinity Oaks, Wyndtree, Chelsea Place, Natures Hideaway, Foxwood, Trinity West and East, Oak Ridge, The Villages Of Trinity Lakes, and The Riviera, where he lives. Trinity is a fast-growing upscale community just north of the Pinellas and Hillsborough county borders in West Pasco County. It’s tri-county location is optimal for commuters. Kevin’s home is on the border of Trinity and Tarpon Springs, and Tarpon is known for its tourist attraction “The Sponge Docks” which is an old Greek community in Pinellas County that has great heritage, fishing, souveniers and beaches.

"I am humbled by their service. I can’t imagine making that sacrifice. I do whatever I can, whenever I can to give back to our military families. They inspire me.”
— Beth Borom
COLUMBUS, GEORGIA, U.S.A., February 3, 2023 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Beth Borom is an outgoing, caring, loyal, and very friendly real estate agent at Coldwell Banker KPDD in Columbus, Georgia.

Beth, born in Atlanta, graduated from Darlington High School and then earned her ABJ in Advertising at the University of Georgia. Following college, she pursued different career paths as a Paralegal, and then as an international flight attendant. She then received her BSN degree in nursing at Columbus State University and then went on to work at two local hospitals in the emergency department and in surgery.
Beth says, “I had to do my job and remain calm in very stressful experiences. We all had to focus and keep our composure under demanding circumstances. Nurses are there for you when you are most vulnerable.”
After 23 years working in service to others, Beth was ready for a change. “I was always interested in becoming a Realtor… and I am really happy I had the opportunity to again serve others, but in a different capacity. There are many aspects to my profession- I keep up with the local and regional market activity and industry trends. I do daily research for active, pending, and sold listings. I coordinate appointments and showings with clients, agents, and vendors. I develop and promote marketing plans for home listings and also manage transactions from offer to closing day. It’s a high-energy profession, and again, I’m serving my clients. I love it!”.
Beth earned her Military Relocation Professional (MRP) Certification from the National Association of Realtors (NAR) so she could better serve the military members of her community. KAILUA, HAWAII REALTOR® CHIP LEWIS EARNS HIS MILITARY RELOCATION PROFESSIONAL (MRP) CERTIFICATION
Press Release

Allison Sledge
"I wanted to provide value and serve my fellow Veterans and Active-Duty members and their families, looking out for their best interests..”
— Chip Lewis

KAILUA, HAWAII, U.S.A., May 13, 2024 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Chip Lewis is a highly regarded, educated, compassionate and laser-focused real estate agent at Home Smart Island Homes in Kailua, Hawaii. He is also a United States Navy Veteran.
Chip was born in Augusta, Georgia, and the family moved to Alabama at a young age. He later graduated from Sylacauga High School and attended Auburn University, where he earned his BA in Finance. Following college, he accepted a job as a Financial Advisor at Mass Mutual in Birmingham, Alabama. There he obtained his Series 6 & 63 Securities License, along with his life and health insurance producer license, but after the first year there, found himself reevaluating his life. “I didn’t see myself sitting in an office forever,” he says, “I wanted to see the world and experience things before settling down, and I felt compelled to join the Military. Both of my grandfathers served in the Navy. One was a gunners mate during WWII on a Liberty Ship, the same ships he built as a civilian prior to enlisting in the Navy. My other grandfather was in the Korean War as a Storekeeper on supply ships. Also, my dad served in the Army Reserves, so I guess, deep inside, I was destined to be in service to my country.”
Chip went to Boot Camp at the Recruit Training Command (RTC) in Great Lakes, Illinois, where he began his transformation into becoming a Sailor. He then went to Naval Submarine Base in New London, Connecticut, where he attended Basic Enlisted Submarine School (BESS) and did follow-on training in the Submarine Electronics Computer field. “I chose Navigation Electronics Technician (NAV-ET) as a rate where I learned to navigate submarines and maintain the ship's electronic navigation equipment, along with interior communication systems.”
Chip’s first ship was the USS Key West, home ported at Naval Base Pearl Harbor in Hawaii. He says, “Hawaii was my top pick, and I was fortunate to get it. The weather and climate were beautiful, and I soaked in everything, enjoying hiking, biking, surfing, and water sports. Onboard the submarine I had to work to earn my “Dolphins,” which is a hard-earned insignia for those in the Submarine Force. There were a lot of demands; you needed to know how the whole ship works because when you are underwater, everyone is dependent on each other. On top of your own divisional responsibilities and qualifications, we had to learn about all the complex ship systems, with a heavy emphasis on damage control so we could be relied upon to combat fires and flooding while at sea. While stationed on the USS Key West for 5 years, Chip completed two Western Pacific Deployments, two Eastern Pacific Deployments, two major Shipyard repair availabilities, along with numerous local exercises and operations.
Following his sea tour, he transferred to shore duty at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard (PHNSY), where he served as a Submarine Safety of Ship Officer for his remaining time on Active Duty. While at PHNSY, he earned his MBA from Hawaii Pacific University and obtained his Real Estate license. “I was always interested in real estate and had been a real estate investor prior to getting my license,” he says, “and I had recently bought my first house with the VA loan. Sadly, I had a lackluster home-buying experience and I saw how other military members were largely being underserved. I wanted to make sure that it would never happen on my watch as an agent.” He also met his wife while on shore duty and decided to transfer to Reserves before starting a family.
Shortly after joining the Reserves he was promoted to Chief Petty Officer and later Commissioned as a Submarine Electronics Limited Duty Officer. He has served as a Department Head in a number of Submarine Reserve units supporting Expeditionary Maintenance and Theater Anti-Submarine Warfare Operations. Chip continues to serve as a Navy Reserve Officer with over 19 years of service.
Chip earned his Military Relocation Professional (MRP) Certification for a myriad of reasons. “First of all, I wanted to provide value and serve my fellow Veterans and Active-Duty members and their families, looking out for their best interests. Secondly, while my military service certainly prepared me to serve PCSing families, the MRP designation makes my skillset highly identifiable to potential buyers and Real Estate agents across the country that do not know me. BAH is very generous here in Hawaii and I encourage everyone to get educated on their buying power. One of my biggest regrets is not using my VA loan earlier in my Military career. A VA loan offers several advantages for eligible military service members and veterans. These include no down payment requirement, generally lower interest rates, and often lower closing costs. Additionally, VA loans don't require private mortgage insurance (PMI), making home ownership more accessible and affordable for those who have served our country. I believe the VA loan is the most powerful loan product on the market.”
Chip, his wife and two awesome kids are longtime Kailua residents. He holds a Hawaii Real Estate Brokers license and also provides property management services.
The areas that Chip serves are: Kailua, Honolulu, Kaneohe, Hawaii Kai, Diamond Head, Waikiki, Ewa Beach, Kapolei, Aiea, Pearl City, Mililani, Waialua, and the North Shore.
The Bases Chip covers are: Camp Smith, Wheeler Army Airfield, Schofield Barracks, Fort Derussy Army Base, Fort Shafter, Tripler Army Medical Center, Bellows Air Force Base, NCTAMS PAC Navy Base, Marine Corps Base Hawaii, US Coast Guard Sector Honolulu, Barber’s Point Air Station, and Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam.

Introducing: Karolina Baker

LEXINGTON, KENTUCKY REALTOR® KAROLINA BAKER EARNS HER MILITARY RELOCATION PROFESSIONAL (MRP) CERTIFICATION
Press Release
Written By
Allison Sledge
"My MRP Certification allows me to have the knowledge to assist all service members, including the disabled. My unwavering commitment is to also acknowledge police officers and firefighters.”
— Karolina Baker

LEXINGTON, KENTUCKY, U.S.A., January 17, 2024 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Karolina Baker is a Real Estate Agent with ‘Building The Bluegrass Realty’ covering the Central Kentucky area and she earned her Military Relocation Professional (MRP) Certification from the National Association of Realtors on October 28th 2014.
Karolina was recognized by the National Association of Professional Women as the 'Woman of the Year' in 2010 and 2011, due to her demonstrated excellence and dedication within her profession. The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) defines success as "owning your own power."
Karolina was born in Yugoslavia and came to the United States at age 11, settling in Duluth, Minnesota. She moved to Kentucky in 1996 because she discovered that the University of Kentucky offered great in-state tuition. "I am a very proud mom," she says, "I'm blessed and grateful to have three beautiful, successful grown children – Alexander, Jovan and Sofia. My sons are University Kentucky graduates and my daughter is a Georgetown College graduate. My kids have always been my courage, inspiration and true joy in life. I am also very happily married to a wonderful Kentuckian man!”
Karolina is very passionate about our military, police officers, firefighters and first-responders. She says, "I've always had compassion for the military because of the tremendous sacrifices they make. I want to gladly give back to the military, so getting my MRP certification allows me to have the knowledge to assist all service members, including the disabled. My unwavering commitment is to also acknowledge the deserving people in service to our community, which include police officers and firefighters.”
Karolina loves people and therefore it is her pleasure to serve them. Giving back in such a small way, simply saying ‘thank you’ for putting your life at risk for the safety of others is truly commendable, to say the least. Our military is the reason we are able to have the freedom to live our lives wherever our dreams take us. And, of course, the number one dream for most people is to have a place to call ‘home.’
Karolina has tremendous respect for her local police officers and firefighters. “They are our first-line of defense right here in our community. Until something happens that affects us, we don’t always realize what an extremely difficult and dangerous profession it is. Imagine never knowing what can happen every time you pull someone over or respond to a domestic violence call? Not only that, they are often under-appreciated when it comes to getting their fair share of recognition. Firefighters are often overlooked when it comes to being rewarded. They are, by nature, people who are inclined to take action when others are in danger. They put their lives on the line every single day they are called to a site by running into burning buildings, rescuing and saving lives, all at the expense of their own life.”
Karolina has been very successful in all areas of her life and is one of the most trusted realtors in Kentucky. She says, "aside from being a beautiful place to raise children, Kentucky is a 'hidden gem.' In fact, a Southern Living magazine listed three Kentucky attractions - Mammoth Cave National Park, the Cumberland Falls State Resort Park and the Red River Gorge – as the Seven Wonders of the South!”
Also, Keeneland Association, Inc. is an equine business based in Lexington, Kentucky. It includes two distinct divisions: the Keeneland Race Course, a Thoroughbred racing facility, and Keeneland Sales, a horse auction complex. It is also known for its reference library. Also, in 2009, the Horseplayers Association of North America introduced a rating system for 65 Thoroughbred racetracks in North America. Keeneland was ranked #1 of the top ten tracks. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1986.
For people who enjoy a different adventure, Lexington has the Red Mile Gaming & Racing Casino, which includes Frankie's Bar & Grill, Center Bar, Red Bar and Wager's Burgers & Brews.
Karolina has been an avid supporter of K-LOVE Christian radio station for 21 years. She says, “The music is so inspirational and in between the music there are amazing testimonies where people have shared their stories and how it has changed their lives.”

Introducing: Audra Schwartz

BILOXI, MISSISSIPPI REALTOR® AUDRA SCHWARTZ EARNS HER MILITARY RELOCATION PROFESSIONAL (MRP) CERTIFICATION
Press Release
Written By
Allison Sledge
BILOXI, MISSISSIPPI , USA, January 23, 2024 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Audra Schwartz is a superb visualizer who knows what she wants and makes it happen. With over 20 years of experience in real estate and a multi-million-dollar producer with Coldwell Banker Smith Homes, she is a lifelong resident of the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

Audra was born in Moss Point, Mississippi, and graduated from Moss Point High School. After graduation, she attended the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) majoring in Banking and Finance. She then went on to receive her Masters of Corporate Communications at the University of South Alabama. Her first job was with Merchants & Marine Bank as an Assistant to the Vice President. She says, “I always wanted to be involved with Public Relations, and working at Merchants Marine Bank allowed me to attend functions in the community representing the bank. Because of that experience, I was offered a position at the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce as the Director of Public Relations. I was involved with membership drives, and newsletters, creating monthly campaigns, managing advertising requests and marketing projects while representing the Chamber in the community. I also spearheaded regional, and local media relations, managed community marketing sponsorships, supported community relations initiatives, and played an active role in corporate social responsibility initiatives.”
"I want people to know that I am very supportive of our Veterans
and Active-Duty members and I’m in it for the long haul.”
— Audra Schwartz
Audra was then hired as Manager of Special Events at the Beau Rivage Resort & Casino (MGM Resorts) in Biloxi. “This was absolutely my dream job. I loved it! Besides working hard, I was able to experience a lot of travel for work, attend national headliner concerts, professional boxing matches, and enjoy some fantastic food. MGM is truly 1st class. In this position, I managed player interactive tournaments, special events, and community fundraisers sponsored by the Beau."
Audra was an only child born to Roy and Norma Parker. Her father worked at the prestigious Huntington-Ingalls Shipbuilding Company for 42 years as the Director of Manufacturing Services. "Ingalls is one of the largest shipbuilders for the United States Navy. I was blessed to be able to grow up in a military environment attending many christenings, keel layings, and change of command ceremonies.” Her mother was a stay-at-home mom. Together, Roy and Norma owned several companies, including a skating rink, mini-warehouses, a country club, waffle houses, and numerous rental properties. She says, “My parents were very aggressive in their business pursuits, and I learned a lot from them. Growing up, I loved reading my mom’s magazines, especially Southern Living which showed a lot of the interior designs of houses, and that always stuck with me. I was always attracted to the house plans and the look of a house, so getting into real estate was an easy decision for me. Also, my in-depth knowledge of the financing element of real estate gives me a huge advantage in the business."
Audra got her real estate license, interviewed with Coldwell Banker, and accepted their job offer. Then, two months later, the unimaginable happened. Hurricane Katrina hit hard. The Gulf Coast of Mississippi suffered near total devastation from Hurricane Katrina on August 29, 2005, with hurricane winds, 28-foot storm surge, and 55-foot sea waves pushing casino barges, boats, and debris into towns, and leaving 236 people dead, 67 missing, and billions of dollars in damages. “It was unbelievable.” Audra says, “There was no inventory, everything was water damaged and thousands of people were homeless. I was on call to assist them in any way that I could. Fortunately, there were houses available on the higher grounds, and I worked day and night to get people into homes, so it was great for me. I won ‘Rookie of the Year’ because of Katrina. Imagine that.”
Audra met her husband, Mike, when he contacted her to help him buy a house. "It was a win-win for my husband. He got a house and me at the same time!” she joked.
Audra found herself drawn to a Facebook page called “Save A Lab” which featured Labradors nationwide who needed a home. “It was heartbreaking to know that if people did not help rescue these dogs, they would be euthanized, so I stepped in and fostered the Labs until they were ready to be transported and adopted. Of course, I would have kept them all if I could, but I knew that I was saving their lives and making sure they were going to a good home.”
Audra earned her Military Relocation Professional (MRP) Certification because she had been serving on the CARTUS (Corporate Clients) Relocation team for several years with her company. "I assist a lot of Navy Federal Members that are either transferring to our area or are being located to another base. We have Keesler Air Force Base, Naval Construction Battalion Center, and a US Coast Guard Station in our community. I want people to know that I am very supportive of our Veterans and Active-Duty members and I’m in it for the long haul. I will do everything I can in order to assist them with their housing needs, whether it’s buying or selling. And it really is wonderful to live near the Gulf Coast of Mississippi. The people are friendly, it’s a big area with a small-town vibe. We have great restaurants, great people, deep sea and freshwater fishing, and it’s close to New Orleans and to the beaches in Alabama and Florida. There are casinos, gambling, a vibrant nightlife, and a lot of opportunities for jobs and housing.
In addition to Biloxi, Audra serves Moss Point, Hurley, Pascagoula, Vancleave, Ocean Springs, Gautier, Gulfport, Wiggins, Long Beach, Pass Christian, Diamondhead, Saucier, and Bay Saint Louis. Audra holds designations as a CARTUS Preferred Agent, a Certified Real Estate Negotiator, a Certified Negotiation Specialist, and an Accredited Buyer’s Representative. She is also licensed in the state of Alabama.

Introducing: Nan Wise

KALISPELL, MONTANA BROKER-REALTOR® NAN WISE EARNS HER MILITARY RELOCATION PROFESSIONAL (MRP) CERTIFICATION

I got my Military Relocation Professional (MRP) Certifi-cation to elevate myself so I could work with Veterans and Service Members to ensure they get everything that they have earned and deserve.”
— Nan Wise
KALISPELL, MONTANA, U.S.A., July 25, 2023 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Nan Wise is an astute, compassionate, educated, and extremely dedicated real estate broker and co-owner of P3 & Associates in Kalispell, Montana.
Nan was born in San Diego, California, as her father James Braun was a Navy Submariner who was stationed there, and the family later moved to Montana where Nan graduated from Flathead High School. She then moved to Wyoming and worked as a dispatcher for the Newcastle Police Department. She says, “My dad was a Police Officer in San Diego, which inspired me to pursue my Law Degree, so I attended Chadron State College in Nebraska and majored in Criminal Justice with a minor in Business."
Upon returning to Wyoming, Nan went to the Law Enforcement Academy and became a Certified Detention Officer and then worked at the Detention Center where she transported prisoners and supervised them in jail. Having been a single mother to her daughter, Ashlee, Nan met her first husband Lane in 1988 and the family moved to Bosnia where he worked as a civilian Police Officer for the United Nations. “It was amazing living there!” She says, “Even though they were just coming out of a war, I felt safe. We lived in Jajce amidst the danger, but we were able to travel everywhere. We went to Italy, Croatia, England, Ireland, Hungary, Slovenia, and Greece. I also worked with the U.N. helping to investigate human trafficking which was much more under the radar at that time. It opened my eyes to how malevolent people can be, and to this day I strive to protect and assist anyone in my orbit who I see is at a disadvantage.”
When Nan returned to the United States, she was offered a position as a Lieutenant with the Weston County Sheriff’s Department in Wyoming. She says, “I totally revamped the system, working 18-hour days. I was determined to give 100% to this endeavor. I re-wrote the policies and procedures, made sure that they installed camera systems throughout the jail, increased staff, and cut medical costs. It was a massive restructuring, and I was nominated and awarded “Detention Officer of the Year” in 2002, for the State of Wyoming.
Nan then went to work with the Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) which is a private contractor with the Department of Justice. She was assigned to go to Iraq as a Captain to train the Iraqi prison guards to run their prisons more in alignment with the United States Evidentiary System rather than their existing Accusatory System. She worked in one of the largest prisons in Iraq carrying a 9-millimeter and a M-4 carbine. “It was a very interesting and life-changing time for me. I was literally witnessing an entire Middle Eastern culture attempt to transition into a more modern, democratic way of life. We had 149 Civilian Law Enforcement personnel living in a very luxurious hotel in downtown Baghdad. Many of our American troops would come to visit and relax and unwind. They took showers, had a few drinks, and swam in our pool. It was an oasis in the desert for them during the war. This was the invasion of Iraq, led by the United States coalition that overthrew the Iraqi government of Saddam Hussein after the attack on America on 9/11. It was known as ‘Operation Iraqi Freedom’. It was also the place where I met and fell in love with my current husband, John Wise. We met in the elevator of the Baghdad hotel and sparks flew! John was a civilian contractor through the State Department, and he is also a Vietnam Veteran. John and I were committed to doing everything we could as civilian American contractors in Iraq. John was a retired District Commander for the Colorado State Patrol and now he and his team were in charge of escorting and protecting the oil tanker trucks from being ambushed by Iraqi insurgents while traveling the highways in Iraq. John and his team also developed the Iraqi Highway Patrol and trained the Iraqi Highway Patrol Officers. Both of us were sincerely committed to doing everything in our power to assist with the restructuring of Iraq and making changes in their lives that would eventually free them from the tyranny that they lived under.”
Nan and John married in Colorado in 2005 and Nan went to work for the Colorado State Patrol as a Communications Officer. They later moved to Montana in 2013 where John and Nan together became actively involved in the Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 1087. They were also heavily involved with the Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education (WICHE), an organization that provides funding to bring awareness and mitigate Veteran suicides, understanding the GI Bill and all issues affecting Veterans Benefits. Nan spearheaded and developed the non-profit 501c3 named the Veteran’s Coalition of Northwest Montana. Nan is closely connected with Legislators in Montana and Washington D.C., where she advocates for her Veteran real estate clients and makes tremendous advances in their lives, where others do not.
Nan decided to get into the Real Estate industry on the advice of her father. He accompanied her to her exam where she passed with flying colors. “I really wanted to make my dad proud, and we talked about how Military families, Veterans, and Active-Duty members are underserved, underappreciated, and taken advantage of. I got my Military Relocation Professional (MRP) Certification to elevate myself so I could work with Veterans and Service Members to ensure they get everything that they have earned and deserve.” In 2021, Nan and her business partner, Broker Sandy Johnson, opened their boutique brokerage P3 & Associates, Inc., they are dedicated to their clients, especially military clients as both hold their MRP Certifications!

Introducing: Erica Howey

LAS VEGAS, NEVADA REALTOR® JOANNA WALKER EARNS HER MILITARY RELOCATION PROFESSIONAL (MRP) CERTIFICATION
Press Release

"I have compassion and empathy for the military because I’ve been through it. I love working with them, educating them, and assuring them that they’re in good hands with me.”
— Joanna Walker

LAS VEGAS, NEVADA, U.S.A., August 20, 2024 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Joanna Walker is an exquisitely delightful, thoughtful, caring, and influential real estate agent with Coldwell Banker Premier Realty in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Born in Twentynine Palms, California, Joanna was immersed in military life early on. Her father, Gary Arnold, served in the Marine Corps, and the family moved frequently, including stints in Okinawa, Japan, and Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, before settling in Oceanside, California.
Joanna graduated from Thomas B. Doherty High School in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and moved to Georgia and then Oregon, where she decided to join the Air Force. "I already lived the military life, and my dad suggested that I not be a Marine, so I signed up for the Air Force and made it happen," she recalls. Basic Training at Lackland Air Force Base in Texas was rigorous, where she acclimated to new environments and served as the fire monitor, responsible for clearing rooms in emergencies.
Joanna's training included firing M-16s, sleeping in tents, base setups, chemical warfare drills, and gas chambers, which taught her fortitude, bravery, courage, endurance, and fearlessness. Joanna then went to Tech School for Security Forces training, learning to fire various weapons, including M-9s, M-14s, M-249s, and M-240s. Unfortunately, she fell ill and was admitted to Wilford Hall Ambulatory Surgical Center, where she met her future husband when he took her X-rays. "It was love at first sight. He asked me out, and I said yes! Then, one year later, Erik deployed to Osan Air Base in Korea, and we dated long distance."
Joanna also PCS’d to Osan Air Base, Korea, working in Security Patrol and embracing the Korean culture. She enjoyed the restaurants and bars in Seoul, where everyone spoke English. Joanna and Erik got married at the United States Embassy in Seoul, South Korea, in 2009. After separating from the Air Force, Joanna moved to Arizona, where Erik was stationed at Luke Air Force Base. They bought their first house with a VA loan.
Using her G.I. Bill, Joanna graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. In 2012, she had her son, and in 2015, her daughter. Erik deployed to Incirlik Air Base in Turkey three weeks after their daughter was born, completing a 15-month tour. Upon his return, the family relocated to Lackland Air Force Base, where Erik was an Instructor for Basic Training, and they bought their next family home within 30 days of arrival.
Joanna's career trajectory is diverse. She worked as a Pharmacy Technician in alternative medicine and was a licensed insurance sales representative with Humana. When COVID-19 struck, she decided it was the perfect time to become a real estate agent. "I remember when I was buying and selling houses with realtors, and I wasn’t educated about what I should or shouldn’t do. I didn’t always have the best experiences, and it seemed many were just in it for the commission. People deserve better, so I strive to be the best I can be in every situation. I don’t promise everything, but I do deliver."
Joanna earned her Military Relocation Professional (MRP) Certification, driven by a strong desire to help military families and veterans make good decisions. "I want to make the process easier and stand out in the community as someone who understands what it’s like to PCS where you don’t know anybody. I put in the time and effort to learn and then translate what I’ve learned to buyers and sellers. I have compassion and empathy for the military because I’ve been through it. I love working with them, educating them, and assuring them that they’re in good hands with me."
Joanna is also a substitute teacher with charter schools in Las Vegas. "Education in all aspects is very important to me, whether it’s teaching students in classrooms or communicating with clients. I have always found that learning is very enriching and stimulating, so it’s always satisfying to me when I’m able to share my knowledge with others, and in turn, I learn from them."
Joanna serves Las Vegas, Henderson, Summerlin, Sunrise Manor, Mt. Charleston, Spring Valley, Boulder City, Nellis Air Force Base, Creech Air Force Base, and surrounding areas. Her commitment to excellence is evident in her pursuit of certifications like the Military Relocation Professional (MRP), aiming to provide invaluable support to military families navigating relocation

EMERALD ISLE, NORTH CAROLINA REALTOR® RICK LOUCKS EARNS HIS MILITARY RELOCATION PROFESSIONAL (MRP) CERTIFICATION
Press Release
Written By
Allison Sledge
"I earned my MRP Certification so I could join a network of like-minded Military real estate agents who are truly passionate about serving those who have served and are still serving.”
— Rick Loucks

EMERALD ISLE, NORTH CAROLINA, U.S.A., August 28, 2023 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Rick Loucks is a committed husband, father and Marine Corps Veteran, who currently works as a real estate agent at RE/MAX Ocean Properties in Emerald Isle, North Carolina.
Rick was born in Brooklyn, New York, then his family moved to Englishtown, New Jersey, and Brookfield, Connecticut, before settling down in Hickory, North Carolina. He says, “It was quite a culture shock to move as a teenager to slow-paced Hickory from the fast-paced East Coast. What surprised me the most was the real quality of life; the real-time you spend with friends, not in a hurry, but really enjoying the moment.”
Rick graduated from Hickory High School and enrolled at the University of North Carolina (UNC) Chapel Hill where he earned a bachelor’s degree in American History. As part of the Reserve Officers’ Training Corps, he attended Officer Candidate School in Quantico, Virginia, and earned the right to be called a Marine. After commissioning, he attended The Basic School.
There are many roles to fill, which the Marine Corps refer to as Military Occupational Specialties (MOS). Rick became an Infantry Officer and was stationed at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, which is the major West Coast Base and one of the largest Marine Corps Bases in the United States, located north of San Diego, California. Rick says, “I chose to go to California. I was young and single, so I wanted to see what the west coast had to offer!”
Rick was a Platoon Commander in Alpha Company, 1st Battalion, 4th Marines, where he was promoted to 1st Lieutenant. He deployed to the Western Pacific as part of the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) aboard the USS Ogden, first to the Philippines and then to the Persian Gulf during Desert Shield/Desert Storm. His ship was among 16 amphibious warfare ships in the Persian Gulf which were prepared to conduct an amphibious assault as part of the effort to liberate
Kuwait.
On his second Western Pacific deployment with the 11th MEU aboard the USS Tarawa, Rick sailed to Australia, Somalia, Oman, Singapore and Hong Kong, training with foreign militaries and seeing the sites. Upon his return to the states, he was transferred to Marine Corps Security Forces, Norfolk, Virginia.
He served as a Guard Officer, Platoon Commander, and Close Quarters Combat Instructor providing security to ships and weapons out of Norfolk Naval Base. Upon completion of that assignment, he returned to Quantico to attend Career Level School at the Command and Control System Course learning about technology and communications.
Rick then PCS’d to Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, where he served as Company Commander for Alpha Company, 1st Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment. He deployed next with 24 MEU as the Commander of Troops aboard the USS Pensacola on a Mediterranean Cruise. He participated in exercises and training with Spanish, Jordanian, Israeli and Djiboutian forces. After promotion to Major, he was assigned as an operations officer on the 2nd Marine Division staff and deployed to the European theater as part of a Joint Task Force stationed in Stuttgart, Germany.
Upon the completion of that assignment, Rick returned to the Basic School in Quantico as an instructor and Company Commander. He had a rewarding tour teaching and training Lieutenants leadership and tactics. Before returning to Camp Lejeune, he was promoted as a Lieutenant Colonel, after which he embarked on a one-year expeditionary tour in Iraq as part of the G-3, II Marine Expeditionary Force. Assigned as the Operations Officer for 26 MEU, Rick deployed to the Mediterranean Sea and Persian Gulf aboard the USS Bataan.
His next tour was an accompanied tour in Germany, where he and his family were stationed at Camp Panzer Kaserne, which is a United States Military installation in Böblingen, Germany. Camp Panzer hosts the headquarters of the U.S. Marine Corps Forces, Europe and Africa (MARFOREURAF). Rick held the billet of Deputy G-3 responsible for future and current operations, exercises and Anti-terrorism and Force Protection for MARFOREUR. It was a fantastic opportunity to travel throughout Europe with and without the family.
Rick returned to Camp Lejeune as the Operations Officer for the Special Operations Training Group (SOTG), II Marine Expeditionary Force aboard Stone Bay in Sneads Ferry, NC. SOTG, now called Expeditionary Operations Training Group, provides expeditionary training to forces and assists the MEUS in training and evaluating their forces in preparation for their deployments.
Rick retired from the Marine Corps in 2012 and remained in the small town of Cedar Point, North Carolina near Camp Lejeune, MCAS Cherry Point and MCAS New River with his family. After retiring from the Marine Corps, Rick taught Expeditionary Warfare School and Command and Staff Non-Resident Programs while investing in real estate including undeveloped lots and single-family homes in Georgia and North Carolina. He decided to get into real estate full time because he found it fascinating, challenging and emotionally rewarding. He says “I enjoy helping people with their real estate needs, especially our Veterans and Active-Duty members. I earned my Military Relocation Professional (MRP) Certification so I could join a network of like-minded Military real estate agents who are truly passionate about serving those who have served and are still serving.”
There are a lot of agents who do not understand the urgency of having to move when getting orders to report to your new duty-station. For those who prefer to buy a house rather than live on the base or rent, it’s imperative that they work with a qualified realtor who understands all that entails and comprehends all aspects of the VA loan.

CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA REALTOR® TALACIA CAIN EARNS HER MILITARY RELOCATION PROFESSIONAL (MRP) CERTIFICATION
Press Release
Written By
Allison Sledge
"I got my (MRP) Certification because my sphere of influence is the military; it’s my niche market. Many realtors don’t understand the VA loan but it is one of the best loan products available.”
— Talacia Cain

CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA, U.S.A., September 26, 2023 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Talacia Cain is a responsive, relatable, approachable and charismatic real estate agent, who is a member of the National Association of Realtors in Charlotte, North Carolina. She is also a Marine Corps Veteran.
Talacia was born in Charlotte and graduated from East Mecklenburg High School. She then went to Boot Camp at Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island in South Carolina. “I never knew anything about the military.” She says, “My best friend decided to join, and I went with her and found myself enlisted! I was green, malleable, naïve, and wide-eyed, and realized immediately that this was not *M*A*S*H* - in fact, it was brutal. They tear you down to build you up, they yell and scream at you until you’re about to cry while you’re on the rappel tower, doing the gas chamber, shooting M-16A2 Service Rifles, or throwing grenades. It changed me. I learned teamwork because we were all in this together, and since I was an only child, it showed me what family felt like and how to work with other women. Once I left Boot Camp, I felt great. I was proud, I walked differently, and I held my head high because I accomplished things that I never thought I could. I earned the title, U.S. Marine!”
Talacia left Boot Camp as an E2, which is Marine Corps Private First Class. She went for additional training at Camp Geiger, near Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville, North Carolina, where she learned combat techniques and how to survive as a Combat Marine. She then went to Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) training at Naval Air Station (NAS) Meridian in Mississippi as a Marine Corps Aviation Supply Specialist. She says, “It was here that we learned that the Twin Towers in New York had been attacked and burned to the ground. We watched the towers falling and it became a reality that we might have to fight in a war. It was scary. A new reality set in for all of us and we had to be prepared for whatever orders we got in service to the United States military.”
Talacia’s first Duty Station was the Marine Corps Air Station (MCAR) New River, in Jacksonville, North Carolina, where she was assigned to the Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron (MALS) 29. They provide aviation logistics support, guidance, planning and direction to Marine Aircraft Group squadrons on behalf of the commanding officer, as well as logistics support for Navy funded equipment in the supporting Marine Wing Support Squadron (MWSS), Marine Air Control Group (MACG), and Marine Aircraft Wing/Mobile Calibration Complex (MAW/MCC). “We also supported the flying squadrons with their flight gear and safety boots, and with procurement and government contracts, including the repair of aeronautical and fuel requirements. Whatever they needed, we provided.”
Talacia then PCS’d to Naval Air Station (NAS) Atlanta, in the Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron (MALS) 42, which was integrated with the Navy. Her unit supported the Sailors and V-22 fighter jets. “There was a bit of rivalry there,” she recalls, “but it was fun and just friendly competition between the Navy and the Marine Corps, and we learned a lot from each other. You must remember the bigger picture, which is, if we were to go to war, we all must work together and support each other, no matter what branch of the military we are serving in."
Talacia returned to Jacksonville, North Carolina, again with MALS 29. She became a Career Planner and helped other Marines understand the process while assisting them with navigating their careers.
She began to experience exercise-induced asthma and had to medically separate from the military. “This caused great anxiety for me. It was the fear of the unknown, and all I knew was how to be a Marine, and how I loved the United States Marine Corps. So, pursuing my Vocational Rehab calling, I decided to go to school and enrolled at the University of North Carolina in Wilmington, where I majored in Sociology, but then I transferred to the University of North Carolina in Charlotte to be near my family. Plus, I had enlisted in Charlotte, so I came full circle. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Organizational Communication. After graduation, I became a full-time Administrative Assistant with the Veterans Service Office (VSO) at UNC Charlotte, and I felt right at home because I was surrounded by other Veterans. I’m currently in Graduate School, working on my Master of Science Management Degree at UNC Charlotte.”
Talacia has loved real estate since she was a child. She enjoyed the infrastructure and architectural designs and was elated to buy her first home when she separated from the military. She began taking real estate classes online during the pandemic, got licensed, and began practicing real estate. She says, “I love educating consumers and being able to help them through challenges. I got my Military Relocation Professional (MRP) Certification because my sphere of influence is the military; it’s my niche market. Many realtors don’t understand the VA loan but it is one of the best loan products available. I’ve walked the walk and it’s important to know how to speak the military language to veterans.”
Charlotte, North Carolina, is one of the fastest growing cities in the Southeast and Talacia covers the entire Metro-Charlotte area, including Concord, Gastonia, Kannapolis, Monroe, Matthews, Mt. Holly, and Belmont. She is also licensed in South Carolina.

SOUTHERN PINES, NORTH CAROLINA, U.S.A., January 9, 2019 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Richard “Rich” Cummings is a respected, admired, honored, and appreciated Real Estate Agent with Towering Pines Real Estate in Southern Pines, North Carolina. He is a Veteran of the United States Air Force and served as a Jet Pilot. Rich was born in Yonkers, New York, and grew up in Downers Grove, Illinois. He graduated from Southern Illinois University, majoring in Industrial Technology and Aviation Technology and acquired two separate licenses; the Air Frame and Power-plant (A&P) licenses for Jet Engines. He worked as an electrician’s apprentice and took private Pilot lessons while studying Aviation Mechanics.
Rich was in the AFROTC program and then enlisted in the Air Force as a 2nd Lieutenant. He says, “The Vietnam War was in full effect and my number came up. Growing up, my uncle flew a single-engine airplane and I loved it. I had a deep fascination with flying airplanes because of that experience." While in the ROTC, Rich was a cadet with the 205th Detachment. He trained at Laredo Air Force Base in Texas where he was assigned to a 38-student pilot training school. He learned basic flying and flew Jet T-37 while learning the aircraft systems, hydraulics, electronics, and engine avionics. He flew in a two-seater side by side with the instructor and learned how to take off, soar and land. He then went on to the High-Speed Supersonic and Tran-sonic T-38 Jets, learning formation flying with two planes that overlapped wings 2 feet apart traveling at the Speed of Sound.
Rich graduated in July 1973, and his first assignment was at Little Rock Arkansas Air Force Base on the C- 130 where he was a Pilot, Co-Pilot, Flight Engineer, Navigator, Load-master and Crew Chief. His first assignment was at the Korat Royal Thai Air Force Base, is a base of the Royal Thai Air Force (RTAF) in northeast Thailand, approximately 250 km (157 mi) northeast of Bangkok. Prior to that, Rich went to First Survival Training in Homestead, Florida, where he learned to survive in the ocean. He says, “In WWII, Pilots were afraid to bail out of the aircraft, so our mission was to take the fear out of the unknown. We bobbed around in the ocean for over 8 hours before being rescued. They brought a helicopter overhead, using an anchor to unfold the seats, known as ‘Tree Penetration’ and it looks like a big lead teardrop. We strapped in and were pulled up out of the water. This was designed to penetrate the forests of Vietnam.” Rich also went to Fairchild Air Force Base in Spokane, Washington, to learn basic survival in the woods, including eating bugs, starting fires and building shelters to stay away from the enemy. Then onto Clark Air Force Base in the Philippines to learn Jungle Survival. Once finished with that duty, he married his high school sweetheart, Peggy.
While stationed at Korat Royal Thai Air Force Base, Rich was assigned to Unit ADCCC - Airborne Command Control Center – where he was the Pilot who flew the “Intel” on board to monitor ground traffic on the Ho Chi Minh Trail, which was a Military supply route running from North Vietnam through Laos and Cambodia to South Vietnam. The route sent weapons, manpower, ammunition, and other supplies from Communist-led North Vietnam to their supporters in South Vietnam during the Vietnam War. He also flew the “Intel” over the Kong River in Cambodia and Thailand. There were two squads who led this Operation; 1) The Cricket Squad and 2) The Moonbeam Squad, which was Rich’s squad. One for the day, one for the night. In 1973 the entire Unit was relocated to the Philippines where Rich completed his Remote Tour. He was reassigned to Little Rock Air Force Base on the 62nd Tactical Airlift Squadron where he received his Aircraft Commander Rating for Pilots. He was then stationed in Decatur, Illinois, with the International Guard – 47th Aviation Branch where he flew Helicopters for the Army Unit.
Rich then decided to go into Administration and worked with the 183rd Tactical Group. He got an Honorable Discharge then reenlisted and transferred to New London, North Carolina, with the 235th ATC 5 Civilian Airfield where he worked in Communications, Radio Transmissions, and Radar Electronics. In 2002, he retired from the National Guard and reenlisted again with the Air Force Reserves in the 916 Civil Engineer Squadron at Seymour-Johnson Air Force Base. In 2008, Rich officially retired from his Military career.
While in Little Rock, Arkansas, as a civilian, Rich had worked as an Inspector for Caterpillar Tractors so, upon retirement from the Air Force, he went back to work for Caterpillar in North Carolina as an Industrial Engineer.
Because of having traveled all around the world, buying and selling homes, Rich became interested in Real Estate and decided to become a Real Estate agent. He says, “Having a home is the most important thing in life. It’s your sanctuary. I wanted to be able to provide people with the best quality of service when they are looking to buy a home. Southern Pines is a beautiful place to live. The people are warm and friendly. We have the Weymouth Center for the Arts & Humanities, Reservoir Park, Southern Pines Brewing Company, Sandhills Horticultural Gardens, The Creation Museum, and great Golf Courses, including Pine Needles Lodge and Golf Club, Southern Pines Golf Club, and Talamore Golf Course. Introducing: Frank Arnold

CHARLESTON, SOUTH CAROLINA REALTOR® FRANK ARNOLD EARNS HIS MILITARY RELOCATION PROFESSIONAL (MRP) CERTIFICATION
Press Release
Written By
Allison Sledge
"I got my Military Relocation Professional (MRP) Certification because I understand the unique challenges that military members and their families encounter.”
— Frank Arnold

Frank Arnold is an intense, brilliant, insightful, commanding and fascinating realtor at ERA Wilder Realty in Charleston, South Carolina. He is also a highly regarded and respected United States Air Force Veteran. His father was in the Air Force and as a child, he lived in Louisiana, Virginia, Turkey, Germany, Mississippi, Georgia and Hawaii, before finally settling down in Muncie, Indiana.
Frank’s mother was a music teacher, so naturally he developed a strong interest in music and learned to play the guitar, bass and saxophone. As a teen he played in garage bands and later became a professional musician. He says, “Those were some of the greatest times of my life. The music scene was vibrant, and I played with some of the greatest musicians in town!”
Frank decided to join the Air Force and was a Security Police Officer. “It was rather uneventful except for my tour in Cairo at West Air Base in Egypt, which was spectacular. I never imagined myself standing next to the Great Pyramid and the Sphinx. It was astounding. Throughout my world travels, none compared to Egypt.”
Frank then went to Technical School and became a member of the Tactical Air Control Party (TACP) where he and his team coordinated and controlled airstrikes for the United States Army Combat Units and was assigned to Fort Hood in Texas. He says, “I got a lot of great training here learning my new job and I was put in charge of a 12-man team attached to the Army’s 6th Calvary Brigade Air Combat, before I PCS’d to Baumholder, Germany. There I oversaw a 13-man TACP Unit attached to the Army’s 8th Infantry Division 2nd Brigade. This crew worked with helicopters, tanks and other assorted armored vehicles. We had tons of training and readiness drills. The crew was great, and I understood that every single person is important. They are putting their lives on the line every single day in service to our Country and we should never take that for granted.”
In 1988, Frank moved to Sembach Air Base in Germany and worked in the office at the 17th Air Force Headquarters that oversees all 24 TACP Units that were spread across Germany. “I loved the challenges.” He says, “Several years later I personally manhandled the deployment of over 400 Air Force TACP folks and their vehicles and equipment from Germany to Saudi Arabia for Operation Desert Storm. We worked a lot of very long days making that happen. I went to Berlin in 1989 right after they opened the Berlin Wall, so it was a very exciting and historical time for me to be there.”
Frank then returned to the United States and was assigned to Fort Campbell, Kentucky, to support the 1st Brigade 101st Airborne Division. “My 15-man team provided all facets of Air Support for over 2,000 Army Soldiers. It was a great assignment and I worked with immensely talented people.”
Frank then PCS’d to Osan Air Base in Korea where he worked at the Headquarters of the 7th Air Operations Group. He provided leadership and oversight to the TACP Units in Korea’s 7th Air Operations Group and oversaw all Tactical Radar Units and Tactical Communication Units in Korea. He led a team of 4 who monitored all training and evaluations for the TACP Units at several locations.
In 1994, Frank returned to the United States and was assigned to the 21st Air Support Operations Squadron (ASOS) at Fort Polk in Louisiana as a Squadron Operations Superintendent. “I was responsible for supervision, oversight and all facets of readiness for the TACP’s supporting the Army’s 2nd Calvary Regiment. We were heavily involved in rewriting our role in the Regiment’s Combat Mission since it had been permanently relocated from Germany to Fort Polk and their mission had changed. Higher Air Force Inspection showed that our Unit excelled in all areas.”
In 1996, Frank retrained to be a First Sergeant, leaving behind the TACP career field permanently. After graduating from the First Sergeant School, he was assigned to Langley Air Force Base in Virginia as the First Sergeant for the Air Combat Logistics Support Group. “Basically, several hundred logisticians and supply folks worked headquarters functions. I was then selected to be the First Sergeant for the 71st Fighter Squadron, which is a very prestigious Unit with a rich history. The Unit had 22 F-15 fighters and over 325 personnel, including pilots and maintenance crews. In 1998, our Squadron won the highly coveted Hughes Award, which is awarded annually to the Air Force’s best Air Superiority Squadron. The 71st is one of only two squadrons in the Air Force to win the award five times. I deployed to Saudia Arabia twice with the 71st Squadron.”
In 1999, Frank was assigned to Scott Air Force Base in Illinois, where he was the First Sergeant for the 375th Medical Group at a large Air Force hospital. There were over 1,000 personnel so he stayed very busy with issues of all types.
August 31st 2001, was Frank’s last day on active duty. It was a wrap. After 22 years, 5 months and 3 days of military service, he closed the book and moved forward. Seven years later he got his real estate license. “I truly enjoy working in real estate and I got my Military Relocation Professional (MRP) Certification because I understand the unique challenges that military members and their families encounter. They need to work with someone who has a total understanding of all aspects of the PCS process, the time constraints and the intricacies of the VA loan.”
Frank’s service areas that surround Joint Base Charleston include Summerville, Goose Creek, Hanahan, Ladson, Mt. Pleasant, Beaufort, Georgetown and Hilton Head Island.

EL PASO, TEXAS REALTOR® VINCE SIERRA EARNS HIS MILITARY
RELOCATION PROFESSIONAL (MRP) CERTIFICATION
Press Release

Allison Sledge
"Freedom is not free and countless Veterans have given their lives
in service to the United States of America.”.”

Introducing Beth Sierra - TEXAS

EL PASO, TEXAS REALTOR® BETH SIERRA EARNS HER MILITARY RELOCATION PROFESSIONAL (MRP) CERTIFICATION
Press Release
Written By
Allison Sledge
"I earned my Military Relocation Professional (MRP) Certification because I am passionate about assisting Military Members and their families.”
—Beth Sierra

EL PASO, TEXAS, U.S.A., September 15, 2025 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Beth Sierra is an astute, intellectually charming real estate professional at Sierra Realty TX in El Paso, Texas. She is also a retired Air Force Chief Master Sergeant.
Beth was born in Eugene, Oregon, and joined the United States Air Force at the tender age of 16, on the Delayed Enlistment Program. After graduating from Willamette High School, she went to Basic Training in San Antonio, Texas, and then to Technical School at Lowry Air Force Base in Denver, Colorado, where she trained to be a munitions loader. Her first Duty Station was at Anderson AFB in Guam, where she loaded weapons on the B-52 during her 15-month tour, before transferring to Myrtle Beach AFB in South Carolina, continuing to load munitions on the A-10.
Beth deployed to Saudi Arabia for Operation Desert Storm/ Desert Shield, known as the Gulf War. She says, “I was working at the unfinished King Fahd International Airport, because it had a runway that the A-10 could launch from. At times it was scary due to SCUD missile attacks and really, the unknown. But it was amazing to load the A-10 as it has an impressive GAU-8 guns that according to the news, struck fear into the hearts of the Iraqi soldiers, as it was primarily tasked to strike and take out the Iraqi tanks.”
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=myIletQrYrM
Beth returned to Myrtle Beach AFB, but the years of pushing thousand-pound ammo trailers, mine clips, and opening bomb bay doors set in. “It took a toll on me. My knees got bad, and I was feeling the pain.”
https://www.dvidshub.net/video/890175/10-crew-demonstrates-loading-ammunition
Beth went to Keesler AFB in Mississippi to retrain as a Command-and-Control specialist. Her first base in her new career was McChord AFB in Washington, where she communicated with aircraft both on the ground and in the air to provide pertinent and urgent information. She also processed emergency action messages from headquarters to set the base on alert or report major incidents and managed daily operational notifications for the base commander. She says, “It was stressful, as we were responsible for maintaining and reporting the safety of the base and its aircrews; we were always on high alert.”
Despite the long hours, she advanced in rank and earned two Associate Degrees in Applied Science. Taking night classes, Beth then relocated to Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland and later Ft. Bragg, North Carolina, with the Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC), which provides Special Operations Forces for worldwide deployment. During this time, she also earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Math and Science by taking remote classes.
Beth then moved to Lajes Field, Terciera Island, Azores, where she was the Superintendent of the Command Post. She says, “I found the people to be very nice, warm, and accepting of us. We lived on a small, beautiful, windy, island. One of the highlights of my time there included working closely with the local officials to develop several written memorandums of agreement between the U.S. Air Force and the Azores (the Portuguese Government). The countries worked very well together, and I was honored to assist in cementing the use of resources and management of the airfield."
The Azores is a major stopping point for U.S. Military Aircraft flying between the U.S. and Europe, as aircraft must either stop or be supplied with crucial in-flight refueling, which is very costly. Beth then moved to Aviano Air Base, in the Southern Carnic Alps in Italy. “I was here such a short time, but this was my favorite location, to actually live in. The people, the food, and the location were ideal." She then relocated again, to Geilenkirchen NATO Air Base in Germany. “I was so honored and impressed to work with and supervise amazing Military personnel from 8 different countries. I also worked daily with others from up to 13 countries. This was really the highlight of my career.” Beth also completed her Master’s Degree in International Relations.
While in Geilenkirchen, Beth deployed to Afghanistan to work with the U.S. Joint Logistics Command alongside Army, Navy, and Air Force members, where she was a Battle Captain, coordinating ground units supplying U.S. operating locations and convoys and kept leadership apprised of attacks on forces and supplies.
After leaving Germany, she was stationed at Cannon Air Force Base in New Mexico, as the Command Post Superintendent for this USAF Special Operations Command base (This is where she also ran her first Marathon in less than 3 hours and 45 minutes). Shortly after settling in, she earned a promotion to Chief Master Sergeant and was selected to represent the USAF as the liaison to, and instructor at the US Army Sergeants’ Major Academy at Fort Bliss, Texas. It was here that she taught a nine-month-long course in English, Writing, and Leadership skills, including Air Force roles and responsibilities and many other Army-specific courses. This Academy hosts not only the United States Army, but future Sergeants’ Major of many countries. “I was honored to mentor and teach the first Female Sergeant Major of the country of Jordan."
Beth retired from the Military after 24 years of service. After retiring, Beth became a Real Estate Agent with her husband, Vince. Together, they own Sierra Realty TX in El Paso, Texas, which she loves. She says, "I love and understand the stress that Military Families endure during a PCS. I earned my Military Relocation Professional (MRP) Certification because I am passionate about assisting Military Members during their journey, and their need to find a house at a moment’s notice. I know how important it is, and I am there for them 100%.”
Beth and her husband, Vince, have 4 wonderful, grown, children, Jaden, Karsten, Curtis, and William. They are excited and well-prepared to serve those who are moving to El Paso, Texas, and Ft. Bliss.

ALEXANDRIA, VIRGINIA REALTOR® JOHN ROAMES EARNS HIS MILITARY RELOCATION PROFESSIONAL (MRP) CERTIFICATION
Press Release

"I wanted to do something in service to our Country and give Iraqi’s their freedom, but I was nervous because I oversaw 6 people my fellow soldiers, whose lives were in my hands.”
— John Roames

ALEXANDRIA, VIRGINIA, U.S.A., May 23, 2023 /EINPresswire.com/ -- John Roames is a highly regarded, thoughtful, and deeply intelligent real estate agent with “Homes by Roames,” a REMAX Gateway Realty affiliate. He is also a United States Army Veteran.
John was born in Park Ridge, Illinois, and his family moved to Bradenton, Florida, where he was in the Junior ROTC in high school before joining the Army at age 17. He had a son, John “Jesse” Jr., and went to basic training at Ft. Sill, Oklahoma.
While at Ft. Sill, John began his career training as an MLRS Fire Direction Specialist (MOS/13P). He says, “A Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS) Fire Direction Specialist is an important part of the Army's combat team. MLRS teams are used to support infantry and tank units while supplementing cannon artillery in combat. The MLRS launches various missiles and rockets in quick strikes during combat and the Field Artillery Batteries compute, record, and transmit the firing data where rockets would go, so you can imagine how much I had to learn in such a short amount of time.”
John’s first Duty Station was at Camp Stanley in Uiejeongbu, South Korea. He was in the Alpha Battery 38th Field Artillery Regiment where he trained in the fields with live fire rockets, shooting them into the sides of mountains, preparing for battle in case North Korea invaded South Korea. John was there on the 50th anniversary of the Korean War, so things were tense. After relocating to Ft. Sill, Oklahoma, he then went to Ft. Hood, Texas, to train in a war fighter simulation exercise when 9/11 happened and he thought it was a simulation. “I couldn’t believe it was real.” He says, “Because of the simulation, everything seems so real, so I thought 9/11 was just another exercise, but it wasn’t. Fortunately, I was able to get home in time to be there for the birth of my daughter, Katerina. In 2003, I was deployed to Iraq during the invasion. I was excited because I wanted to do something in service to our Country and give Iraqi’s their freedom, but I was nervous because I oversaw 6 people, my fellow soldiers, whose lives were in my hands, so it was a lot to take in. We landed in Kuwait the day the war started and, after going into Iraq, we took ammunition and weapons out of the sites that Saddam Hussein hid everywhere. We literally cleaned up Baghdad. There were white ammo phosphorus rounds, grenades, cannon rounds, and machine gun ammo all over the place. When we got back to the United States, we were treated as heroes, which was cool. We flew back to New York and circled around the Statue of Liberty and the whole city was cheering us. I still get goosebumps thinking about it.”
John then deployed back to Iraq as a Convoy Escort Unit in a highly secured armored vehicle where he protected large convoys up and down the thousands of miles of highways in Iraq. He says, “We avoided hundreds of Improvised Explosive Devices (IED’s) and didn’t lose one member.” He PCS’d back to Ft. Sill for reclassification and was assigned as a MOS 13F Joint Fire Support Specialist or Forward Observer (FO). “This is the guy on the hill calling for artillery fire and coordinating mortar, close air support, and attack helicopters,” John explains.
John trained at Ft. Riley, Kansas for a military transition team to prepare for his next deployment back
to Iraq helping Iraqi Army troops to be better equipped to take over their Country. Returning from Iraq, he was stationed at Schofield Barracks in Hawaii with the Stryker Calvary Unit and then went to India as a joint exercise with the Indian Army before heading back to Iraq to help the U.S. troops transition back to the United States. After going back to Hawaii for more training, John was assigned to Camp Atterbury in Indiana where he was stationed and trained the Reserves and National Guard. In 2015 he moved to Ft. Belvoir in Virginia to work in Informational Operations. He deployed one last time to Afghanistan in support of a joint task force before retiring from the Army in 2018. He then began working in Government contracting as the Director of Product Operations for a technology company, but felt he needed to get away from that because he wanted to experience his own successes and failures, which led him into a new career in real estate. He says, “I wanted to specifically help Veterans and Active-Duty members buy or sell their homes. It was important for me to get my Military Relocation Professional (MRP) Certification to stand out as a qualified realtor who is ready, willing, and able to assist our military with all of their needs.”
John knows firsthand how difficult it can be for relationships to survive when one spouse is constantly deployed. His wife, Tameika, is an Army Veteran and is now a Psychological Operator in the Army Reserves. She holds two master’s degrees and together, they own and operate a glamping business where people can unwind and relax.
John enjoys hiking, kayaking, traveling, sightseeing, and exploring wineries and breweries. He has visited over 20 countries and all 50 states.
His service areas in Northern Virginia include Fort Belvoir, Fort Myer, Pentagon, Quantico, Alexandria, Arlington, Fairfax, Woodbridge, Reston, Chantilly, Tysons Corner, Stafford, Fredericksburg, and Springfield.

"You had to stay sharp because your life and the lives of your fellow shipmates depended on it. Of course, this was intentional to prepare us for what was ahead as a member of the United States Navy.”
— Dr. Mary Kraft
VIRGINIA BEACH, VIRGINIA, U.S.A., April 17, 2023 /EINPresswire.com/ - Dr. Mary Kraft is a highly educated, intelligent, and very friendly Real Estate Associate Broker and Owner of Retired Military Real Estate Group in Virginia Beach, Virginia. She is a Capella University graduate with a Doctor of

Philosophy, specialization in General Psychology (3.95 GPA), and a Master of Science, specialization in Educational Psychology. She is also a retired United States Navy Veteran with 24 years of serving our country. In 2017, she became a licensed real estate agent and in 2020, a licensed Associate Broker in Virginia.
Dr. Kraft was born in New York and went to Orlando, Florida, for boot camp to begin her Navy career in 1990. She says, “It was grueling because this was 8 weeks of boot camp. We had to be up by 4:00 AM and do our training which included working out, marching, physical conditioning, swimming, and attending classes. This would often last until midnight and I loved it!
